SetBacks Are Often Setups! From Creative Beginnings to Film and Television Excellence

Our company, Nile Productions, was established in 1994 by Tanya Huston in Queens, New York. While the team members all worked other jobs full-time, we began with a vision to provide engaging and faith-centered events, starting with a gospel extravaganza event, "Putting On The Hits," and expanding into a variety of events such as step shows, comedy nights, and conferences. The goal was to eventually open a Christian nightclub, a place where Christians could safely hang out and have fun.

After experiencing her now second corporate lay-offs in 2010, Tanya explored other employment options outside of her familiar corporate workplace environments. She eventually ventured into doing background work in the film and television industry, got hooked, and joined SAG-AFTRA. This transition allowed us to understand firsthand the details into great filmmaking and to become a solid force with producing our short films, which many have screened at film festivals both nationally and internationally.   

Since our first film, "Ex-Offenders," premiered in 2015, we have completed over fifteen projects. We remain dedicated to creating content that stays true to our founding values, with the aim to both entertain and inspire.
